1. Who we are
Newy Vibes operates newyvibes.com.au and lakemacvibes.com.au, providing property surroundings intelligence for the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie region of New South Wales, Australia.

2. What personal information we collect
We collect minimal personal information, only what's needed to deliver our service:
When you purchase a report
- Name and email address — provided by you via Stripe checkout, used to deliver your PDF report
- Property address — the address you request a report for (this is not your personal address unless you choose it to be)
- Payment details — processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
When you use our website
- Address searches — addresses you type into our search bar are sent to OpenStreetMap Nominatim (a free, open-source service) for geocoding. We do not log or store your searches.
- Technical data — standard web server logs may include your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This is used for security and debugging, not for tracking or profiling.
What we don't collect
- We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising
- We do not use analytics platforms (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel)
- We do not build user profiles or track browsing behaviour
- We do not collect personal information from the government registers we aggregate — those registers contain property and business data, not personal data
3. How we use your information
We use the personal information we collect only for:
- Generating and delivering your purchased report
- Sending your report via email
- Processing your payment (via Stripe)
- Responding to support requests
We do not use your information for marketing, advertising, or any purpose beyond delivering the service you requested.
4. Third parties
We share personal information only with these service providers, and only to the extent necessary:

5. Data storage and security
- Order records (name, email, address, tier) are stored securely on our server for order fulfilment and support
- Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our systems
- Generated PDF reports are stored on our server for re-delivery if needed
- We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
6. Data retention
- Order records — retained for 7 years (Australian tax record-keeping requirements)
- Generated reports — retained for 12 months for re-delivery, then deleted
- Web server logs — retained for up to 30 days, then deleted
7. Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction — ask us to correct any inaccurate information
- Deletion — ask us to delete your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Complaint — lodge a complaint about how we handle your information

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
8. Overseas data transfers
Our payment provider Stripe may process data in the United States. Stripe maintains its own privacy and security standards. Address geocoding uses OpenStreetMap Nominatim, operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (EU-based). By using our service, you acknowledge these transfers.
9. Children's privacy
Our service is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance.
